Theory on campaign 2008
So I have been thinking about this race and how "unprecedented" everything is and I cam up with an interesting theory. This campaign is over a year old now, hell it started the night of the 2006 midterm elections. That being said my theory goes like this, people are tired of George Bush's bulls**t so obviously they are looking forward to his successor. But this stuff wasn't in the news nearly as much last summer and going into the fall, but heres the catch, the writer's strike just happened to coincide with the uptick in coverage of this election. Lets face it, how many time can you watch dancing with my epileptic mom? So people actually started paying attention to the candidates. Combine that with the veracity that Barack Obama speaks with and all the grassroots movements (i.e. Ron Paul) and you have a much better show than anything that was put on network TV (without writers of course) Those are just my thoughts, let me know what you all think....
