So Windows 7, the much heralded successor to Vista goes into public beta today and I could not be happier. While many people know me as an avid Mac user, you never forget your first love. I will be more than happy to see Windows work again. Dont tell anybody but I am kind of getting tired of an XP. I mean I have been running it straight for 8 years!!

Windows 7 is outstanding. I've been running this for the past several weeks on my laptop. The attention to detail is incredible. Everything just works correctly, even in beta. I've only had a few minor issues with it, but the whole 'let windows fix this problem' has worked to correct every single tiny issue. If it works this well in the first beta release, then I can't imagine how great it will be when they get to a final RC.
